In World of Warcraft PvP is the reward system

any idiot can make more honor points in 16 hours than the world’s best PvP player in 4 hours. The introduction of cross-server battleground is a huge success. is a healthy PvP than ever before. and then yawn and move on, The negative side in that is that it diminishes the interest in going after PvP honor rewards now, There is always an open battlefield for each waiting for the queue, when it might be a lot easier to get a level 70 blue item that is better? In the expansion. In the Burning Crusade expansion, I’m hoping that enough people will find this unacceptable that Blizzard will propperly look at class balance rather than just trivialising arenas. PvP is really years old. It isn’t clear at all whether and how your current honor rank is transformed into the new honor points. It seems that Blizzard has realized the potential of battlegrounds as “casual” PvP entertainment for the masses, in a cumulative manner. and is changing the honor reward system accordingly, Wan-sheng. Beyond the battlefield, PVP is rare, The relative rank system will disappear. the shortcoming of PvP is the reward system, Few players seriously go for the high-end rewards in that system, PvP is a grogress work.In World of Warcraft, Man duel for fun or something to kill time. is the best way to collect honor points, many positive changes to PvP have already been announced. and people just collect honor points like they collect experience points or faction reputation

World of Warcraft Cataclysm Stats

Let’s have a look at each of the WoW Cataclysm stats changes in depth. instead of gear, as some of the confusing or overly-technical wow stats removed and replaced with more simple ones! which means that Warriors. This is quite controversial as after the Burning Crusade expansion a lot of MP5 stats were added to make some items more class specific (and spirit was seen as too ‘powerful’ of a stat with too many effects), agility.wow-cataclysm. At present. which is sure to annoy some long-time players. and when the original World of Warcraft shipped it was easy for people understand which items they should choose to upgrade their character and make the most of their talents, Paladins and DKs will no longer desire the lesser mail drops of hunters and shamans!WoW Cataclysm StatsCataclysm Stats Change – MP5 removed – Mana per 5 seconds (regeneration) will be removed from all items and be replaced with spirit.WoW Cataclysm warrior stats – Defense – The much loved Defense stat, which warriors have relied on for years as their big advantage when it comes to tanking, is being removed. No more defense cap, The way that stats have been updated by Blizzard means that a lot of classes will have their priorities completely changed once again, Warriors will need to look to their talent tree for anti-crit from talents.World of Warcraft Cataclysm Stats – Armor penetration – The armor pentration stat has been removed as it was seen as too confusing and techinical, It will

Buff(ing) for BlizzCon: Well fed

Buff(ing) for BlizzCon: Well fedBuff(ing) for BlizzCon is a bi-weekly fitness series written by ShrinkGeek authors Rafe Brox and Michael McGreevy. Join the WoW.com team in getting in shape for the ultimate WoW geek event: BlizzCon 2010.People will ingest a lot of weird things in the name of health, strength, recovery, or “hey, I dare ya!” All right, sure, I’m extrapolating to “people” from “me,” but have you looked at the ingredient list for some of the buffing consumables we make our characters choke down? Look, buddy, I don’t care what kind of stat boost it gives, I’m not eating any damn Kaldorei Spider Kabobs (and I’ve eaten tempura sushi dipped in molten chocolate. See “I dare ya,” above, with the “I will if you will” proviso). But, really, would our toons get much benefit from eating this stuff, and, if so, would it square with what the buff they receive is?What about characters who role-play having a dietary restriction, whether or not that mirrors their behavior in real life? Could a vegetarian find some stat-boosting snacks? What about folks who hew to something like the raw-food credo – are any of the recipes obviously something that won’t have to be concocted over high heat? Primalists and Paleo diet aficionados would be in their element, and might even make up the majority of Azeroth’s population.Eating and drinking to replenish physical and mental energy

World of WarCrafts: The saturated artwork of Christina Marie

World of WarCrafts: The saturated artwork of Christina MarieWorld of WarCrafts spotlights art and creativity by WoW players, including fan art, cooking, comics, cosplay, music, fan fiction and more. Sample the whole spectrum on our website’s Arts and Crafts in WoW page.Artist Christina Marie’s WoW-themed work is nothing if not saturated — saturated with color, saturated with game references, saturated with humor. It’s the kind of stuff you can toss onto your desktop and then promptly lose vast chunks of time peering and snorting in bemused delight at the details scattered across these works. (Because I whipped up the Christina Marie art gallery, below, in just minutes. Without any linking or idle chatter in the website newsroom. You believe that, right? Right?) Her talent for twisting elements together (elements of art, elements of the game … you name it) earned her a nod from Blizzard itself with inclusion in its 2011 holiday fan art calendar (as was our own Kelly Aarons). World of WarCrafts visited with Christina Marie to find out where the deluge of color and inspiration comes from.

An interface for every healer In World of Warcraft

An interface for every healer In World of WarcraftOren.1 is the paladin interface, showing all of the pertinent buffs on the target at the bottom of the Grid frame, with built-in timers from the excellent addon OmniCC. Bati is the priest Grid setup, displaying shields, Weakened Soul, Prayer of Mending and other vital priest information right on the Grid frame. Paired with a PoM counter addon, this setup proves very powerful for priests.Shaman is, obviously, the restoration shaman profile, sporting Earth Shield and Riptide trackers. Personally, as a resto shaman myself occasionally, I’ve found most healing user interfaces that are too complex become only hindrances. Less has always been better for me as a shaman healer, but your mileage may vary. Bati’s shaman setup is still in a state of flux, however, so any capable shaman should hit up Bati with some tips!Maiie is the druid interface, and while I don’t have much druid healing experience, I asked my buddy and he said it looked great. So yay, druids!Arena is a profile setting that surprised me.mostly because of how come simple.Arena is a profile setting that surprised me, mostly because of how some simple changes to Grid can have such a dramatic effect on the PvP healing game. Bati’s specific arena setup runs with paladins in mind, but easy tweaks should be enough to let any healer make use of the basic work done. Enabling the arena setting nets a bigger Grid layout, with larger debuff icons for

World of Warcraft Profession Guides

Another gathering profession that has the ability to make you a huge amount of gold is Mining. With the Mining profession, you will have to the opportunity to craft armor, potions, weapons, and jewels.Mining works well with three other professions which are Blacksmithing, Engineering, and Jewelcrafting. With Blacksmithing, everything that you will need to make is done by first mining. This also applies to Jewelcrafting as well as Engineering, everything that you need will have to be mined. These three professions will suit you the best with Mining. Keep in mind that with these professions, if you elect against mining, you will be responsible to purchase your metals and gems which will be fairly expensive. Remember that Mining is a primary skill and you can have only one other primary profession, keep this in mind when choosing to learn or unlearn. To get your mining career off to an actual start you will have to be trained. First you will need to buy a Mining Pick, which should remain with you at all times. Then find a trainer which should be pretty easy to find, as they are located in several cities. One of the bonuses of choosing Mining as one primary profession is that it comes with Find Minerals and Smelting. These two things will benefit you abundantly along the way. With Find Minerals this is a skill that will show you on the radar where there are mineral deposits and how close they are. Smelting will assist in converting your ore into metals that are usable.Skills

Dell drops the price on the Warcraft laptop

Just in case the original $5k was too much for you on that Dell Warcraft laptop deal, Dell has apparently dropped the price to a still pretty high $4k, or $3999. That’s still more than our questionable pricing out of the laptop and all of the goodies that come with it, but then again, it is a sweet gaming-spec, Warcraft branded laptop — can you really put a price on a paradise like that? And yes, it still does come with all the old stuff, including Alliance or Horde branding, all the Warcraft software, and a bunch of other goodies including those beta keys that we still have no idea are for. Where Dell found $1000 to cut out of that deal we can’t figure either, unless… you don’t think they were just topping more than a cool grand of straight profit on this deal, were they? Sneaky moneymaking bastards!Update: Apparently we now know where they got $1000 out of the deal — it doesn’t come with all the extras any more. According to reader DevilStick, who chatted with a Dell sales rep, all it comes with is the mousepad and possibly a laptop bag. So the novels, the beta keys, and all of the books and other goodies were limited time only.Update II: Dell themselves have contacted us with the news that the sales rep DevilStick chatted with was wrong: even at the lower price, it still does come with all the goodies. So if $5k was too much, but $4k is worth it to you to have “the ultimate Warcraft laptop,” order away. From wow.com.
